Road trip to the Californian Autoharp Gathering

To avoid L.A's infamous traffic, we headed out early Friday morning and arrived in time for elevenses. St. Nicholas Ranch is a retreat and conference centre nestled in the Squaw Valley in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, east of Fresno.
We drove through the hillls surrounding LA, which seemed like a moon scape, some citrus groves and vineyards with the snow capped mountains surrounding us.
The Gathering was one I will never forget.
The cream of Autoharp players & builders from around the globe and workshops to answer all your questions. The evenings were filled with superb life performances from these amazing musicians and all through the weekend, little jams could be found all over the ranch.
What can I say, been there and bought the t-shirt. 🎶💜

  1. I am thinking of that Chevy Chase movie where he's in a pub entering a lamb balls eating competition not realising what they are.... sounds similar! (Eva here - profile anonymous cause none of the others fit)

    1. Hi, yes I went there too. Found out that it is a fundraiser for their small community. I suspect folk came up with the name for the publicity xx
